YES but with significant changes to our service. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic we have had to make a number of changes to the services we offer including our daytime hours of business. These changes have been made in line with guidance passed to us by our governing bodies the BVA and RCVS after consultation with the government. We are able to provide essential care to avoid unnecessary suffering or maintain animal welfare.
My pet is not well but I do not think it is an emergency what do I do?
We are offering clients telemedicine appointments with our vets whereby we may ask you to supply photographs or short videos of your pet and one of our vets will call you back to conduct a consultation and prescribe any medications that are required. Our normal consultation fee will apply and we will ask you to make a payment over the telephone or by BACS transfer.
My pet needs regular medication can I still obtain repeat prescriptions?
Yes. We are manning the practice to provide essential medications to those patients on long term treatments. Please telephone the practice during our new office hours and we will give further guidance on what to do.
My pet requires a repeat prescription of preventative drugs such as flea and worm products, can I have them?
Yes however you will need to phone first to advise us how to get them to you. We are operating strict social distancing measures to protect our staff.
My dog needs its annual booster vaccination can it come to the practice for its booster?
YES. The BVA has issued new guidelines valid from 14/04/2020 which allow booster vaccinations to be given in particular leptospirosis vaccines. If you are isolating you can delay the booster by up to 15months from the last injectiion.
I have just purchased a puppy. Can it have its puppy course of vaccinations?
YES. New BVA guidelines valid from 14.04.2020 allow puppies to have their primary course of vaccinations. Please note we are still practicing social distancing. Please park in a marked bay and telephone to say you have arrived and we will advise you how to proceed.
My puppy has had its first vaccination and needs its second injection can I bring it to the practice for this?
YES. New BVA guidelines valid from 14/04/2020 allow us to perform second injections of a puppy vaccination course.
Can I book my pet in to be neutered?
No. This is not deemed an emergency and as such all routine neutering operations will need to be postponed If an unplanned mating occurs please contact the practice by telephone.
What is deemed an emergency requiring a trip to the practice for treatment?
