At Parkhill Vets we have two separate operating theatres in the practice allowing us to maintain a clean and quiet operating environment. The operating theatres are where all surgical procedures are carried out in a sterile, climate-controlled area.
Anaesthetised animals are continuously monitored by qualified, experienced Veterinary Nurses.
We now have piped oxygen and state of the art facilities, such as multiparameter monitoring equipment and a laparoscope (keyhole surgery equipment).
Daily we carry out various surgical procedures ranging from routine operations such as canine, feline and small furry neutering’s, to laparoscopic ovariectomies and organ sampling using the 'keyhole' method.
As we have a couple of vets at Parkhill that have gained their surgical certificate, we are able to carry out more complex surgeries such as amputations, gastropexies, TECAs, soft palate resection, nares widening, enucleations, exploratory laparotomies, and orthopaedic procedures.
